The Well Loved Shelf is a mobile bookstore serving Brevard County, Florida, founded by Rhonda Smith with a simple mission: bring curated adult romance fiction directly to the women who love it.
Meet Rhonda
Rhonda Smith started The Well Loved Shelf because she saw a gap in Brevard County that no one was filling. Women across the Space Coast were devouring romance fiction — dark romance, fantasy, shifter, sports romance, new adult — but had nowhere local to browse, discover, and buy the books that BookTok was raving about.
As a lifelong reader and devoted member of the romance community, Rhonda understood that the experience of finding your next book matters as much as the book itself. Big box stores bury romance in back corners. Online shopping lacks the discovery and personal recommendation that makes reading a communal joy. The Well Loved Shelf brings the bookstore to you — at markets, events, and neighborhoods across Brevard County — with every title hand-picked for quality, heat, and that unputdownable factor.
This is not a store that apologizes for what it sells. Every spine on The Well Loved Shelf is there because it earned its place. Whether the spice level is a gentle simmer or a five-alarm flame, Rhonda curates with intention, knowledge, and a deep respect for the women who read these stories.
